1. What RugGuard is

RugGuard is a data-analytics service. It executes deterministic heuristics over publicly available on-chain and explorer data, and returns a structured risk assessment. It is not a security audit, an investment recommendation, or a guarantee of any kind.

2. Best-effort, no warranty

Output is provided "as-is" with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for purpose, or non-infringement. Heuristics evolve; flag codes and weights may change without notice. False positives and false negatives are expected. Callers must apply their own judgement and additional checks before any financial action.

3. Liability

Total liability for any claim related to use of the API is capped at the USDC cost of the specific call(s) that caused the claim. RugGuard is not liable for indirect, consequential, or trading losses.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the API to (a) attempt to exploit pricing or settlement bugs, (b) probe the service for vulnerabilities outside the scope described in SECURITY.md, or (c) build a knowingly competing service that proxies our responses without attribution.

5. Data

We log the calling wallet address, endpoint, target contract, timestamp, and outcome metadata. Wallet addresses are pseudonymous public identifiers and we do not attempt to associate them with off-chain identity. We do not collect personal information.
